Once upon a time, Atlaea was Paradise - cradled by storms and watched over by its immortal Guardians.

Then Technology pierced the storms, and brought modern-day society with it.

In the half-century since the island's rediscovery, an uneasy truce has persisted between its natives and the modern 'domestics'. The natives have their Guardians, the domestics science - in this land of magic, who can say which would win?

But now the domestics are experimenting, trying to unlock the Guardians' secrets. And, with the birth of the new generation, a wild card has sprung up on the island.

Hybrids. Children of science - with the magic of the Guardians in their blood.

The isolated island of Atlaea is constantly ravaged by deadly storms from the sea, and by the constant warring of its residents. Atlaea harbors two rival tribes of elemental animals, the Felines and the Canines. For centuries they have fought for control over one another and thus for control over the entire island. The most powerful being on Atlaea, a moose who is the master of all elements called Ishan, has declared he will retire soon and is searching for a successor. He's keeping his eye out for possible candidates, and will eventually narrow his choice down to one animal from either tribe. The tribes see this as their opportunity to finally end the rivalry, by of course using the power to destroy their enemy. Thus, tensions are high on the island as everyone waits to find out....
